The role of compartmentation in escape safety
Compartmentation buys people time: the longer smoke and fire are held back, the longer escape routes remain usable and the more generous the evacuation time. Curtains only close off openings around stairwells and corridors the moment it is needed, so the building stays completely open in daily use.
Solutions for existing buildings
Especially in existing buildings, installation space is limited. Our curtains have a compact cassette and are custom-designed for each situation, which makes them suitable for renovation projects too — with minimal structural work and little disruption for the building's users.
Control and certification
Every curtain is linked to the fire alarm system and closes automatically on alarm; backup power and the Gravity Fail-Safe principle assure operation during a power failure. The curtains are tested to EN 1634-1 and EN 12101-1 respectively and are supplied with certificates and test reports.
